About Therapy
Counselling and Psychotherapy provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk about anything that may feel conflicting, confusing or painful for you. Endeavouring to work through the painful feelings of bereavement or stressful life events, which could include relationship problems or chronic illness, can be very difficult and can feel unbearable at times. Research shows that Counselling and Psychotherapy can help people through those difficult times.
Counselling can help with issues in specific areas such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, low self esteem, lack of confidence, relationships, family issues, workplace issues, stress, abuse, trauma, separation and divorce.
I have experience working with people who have suffered grief and loss through bereavement. Grief is mainly emotional and it often hurts, but it is a process which is trying to heal you. I offer support during this time whilst you are trying to cope with these feelings. Grief has many different stages and people experience different levels of grief depending on the relationship they had with the person they have lost. I also work with people who have developed complicated grief, meaning the normal grieving process is taking longer and the individual may feel stuck with an incapacity to move on.
Fees are from £50 per session dependant on location. Sessions are typically once a week, for 50 minutes. I am able to offer you short term and long term, open ended counselling in order to meet your personal needs.
Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or would require more information. Our initial consultation will give us both the opportunity to find out more about each other in a relaxed setting and to see if we can work together.
