About Me
I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor and Therapist. As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have a Diploma and a Foundation Degree in Counselling.

I am a Founder of a counselling service set up within a school in the borough of Barnet. This service is offered to the parents of the children who attend the school and to staff members. I have provided volunteer services working at the Mental Health Charity Mind as a Counsellor in the NHS providing primary care counselling for doctors referrals within a GPs Surgery.

Prior to becoming a Counsellor I became increasingly aware of the need for people to be able to talk about their innermost feelings and anxieties in a way that can bring them some form of relief. For many, it may feel quite a daunting prospect to talk to a counsellor, therefore they may prefer to talk to a close friend or family member. While I was able to listen and assist in the capacity as a friend, I always felt that I would like to do more. I desired to learn skills that could enable me to make a difference. This is what motivated me to become a Counsellor.

Keeping in mind the anxiety that clients can feel before starting Counselling, I offer a warm, relaxed environment which can help you to take your first steps on this journey.

I work in a client focussed, non-judgemental way. I listen with the aim of trying to gain an understanding of the world through your eyes and how you uniquely feel about your situation. I use a variety of skills in our therapeutic relationship which are suited to your needs in order to help you attain clarity and a better understanding of your own feelings.
